A&E, HISTORY, and Lifetime launch iPad apps for Xfinity customers.

One of the best things about the iPad is watching movies on it. Its screen is bright and big, but portable enough that it isn’t bothersome. Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Instant Video are just a few of the ways that you can enjoy videos through your iPad. That selection is getting a lot bigger if you’re an Xfinity customer.

A&E, HISTORY, and Lifetime just announced several new iPad apps that allow you to watch full episodes right on your iPad. If you’re an Xfinity subscriber, all you do is log into your account on the app and you’re ready to go. Dan Suratt, the Executive Vice President of Digital Media and Business Development for A&E said the following,

“By offering the A&E, HISTORY and Lifetime watch apps, we are giving fans of our networks an opportunity to consume our leading libraries of original quality content wherever and whenever they want it.”

I think this is a great addition to the app store and am never against more ways for consumers to get more out of their money. The ability to stream content is a great feature and I am happy to see Comcast taking advantage of it with Xfinity.

Are any of you out there going to be using these apps? What shows are you glad to now have from these different networks? Let us know down below.
